IBBL Website UX/UI Design For Customer Onboarding Through E-KYC

Client’s Brief
Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) is one of the first banks in the country to introduce online customer onboarding through e-KYC. Customers can now open bank accounts remotely through the website by using either a simplified e-KYC form or through a regular e-KYC form.
Our Approach
The customer onboarding journey has two methods, a simplified e-KYC form, where the customers upload images of their national ID card to complete a part of the process, or through a regular e-KYC form, where they need to type in all information manually. We designed an intuitive user experience, breaking down the tedious eKYC form into bite-sized segments so that the users can easily fill it up without being overwhelmed, and then we have created a simple yet elegant user interface, using a color palette derived from their logo.
This has resulted in a user-friendly UX and a clean UI, making online customer onboarding a simple process for people of varying technical literacy.
