This project centers around several key tasks:
Workshop Data Collection: Our team deployed five enumerators who collaborated closely with workshop owners to gather comprehensive data, including product images, sample videos, and visiting cards of the owners. Over a span of four months, our enumerators diligently worked to collect extensive information from the Bhairab Paduka Shilpo community. Following the final scanning process at our Dahak office, these valuable resources were uploaded onto the website, making them accessible to a wider audience.
Comprehensive Marketing, Branding, and Promotion Strategy: To raise awareness and enhance the branding of the Bhairab Paduka Shilpo E-directory, we developed a range of marketing resources and initiatives, spanning both online and offline channels.
These efforts included the creation of branded merchandise, such as T-shirts for workshop owners and branded pens for our target audience of buyers. We also designed and distributed flyers in various regions across Bangladesh. Additionally, we introduced logo-branded stickers and distributed them in different parts of the country. This multifaceted marketing campaign engaged our expert team, consisting of social media specialists and offline marketers.
As part of our digital strategy, we established a dedicated Facebook page and leveraged it to promote engaging stories about the Bhairab Footwear Sector. The results were impressive, with workshop owners receiving numerous inquiries from potential buyers as a direct outcome of our marketing efforts.
Design, Development, and Launch of the Digital E-directory for the Bhairab Footwear Sector: Following the successful acquisition of field resources, we embarked on the design and development of a digital E-directory. This platform served as the repository for all the workshop data we had collected. Subsequently, we migrated this valuable information to the website, creating a user-friendly interface.
Moreover, we actively promoted the entire Bhairab Paduka Shilpo community on popular social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. The results have been truly remarkable, with Bhairab Paduka owners experiencing the benefits of this digital revolution firsthand. They are now receiving customer inquiries both locally and globally, and many previously unknown customers are directly visiting their businesses through the website and Facebook. Empowering Workshop Owners through Capacity Building and Practical Training: Our dedicated team made over 15 visits to the Bhairab Paduka Karkhana Malik Somobay Somity office in Bhairab to conduct comprehensive capacity building sessions and provide practical training to workshop owners.
The Bhairab Workshop series comprised ten highly successful sessions, each designed to empower the Bhairab Paduka Somiti community. Participants displayed genuine enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn more about the eDirectory platform. These workshops served as platforms for knowledge sharing, open Q&A sessions, and discussions on leveraging the eDirectory for their businesses.
One particularly uplifting revelation during these sessions was the success story of a workshop owner who had received an order from Oman, directly attributed to their listing on the eDirectory website. This achievement served as a powerful source of inspiration for others in the community.
