Client’s Brief
FFB is a communications and community empowerment organization, working to help improve awareness about modern agricultural innovations, including crop biotechnology, in Bangladesh. Based in Dhaka, it operates under the auspices of the Cornell Alliance for Science with support from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
FFB aims to create an online platform to share evidence-based information about the social, economic, and environmental benefits of modern agricultural innovations, helping Bangladesh advance further in the fields of crop biotechnology and genetic engineering.
Our Approach
The purpose of the online platform is to effectively engage key stakeholders and their community of advocates to promote access to scientific innovation as a means of enhancing food security, improving environmental sustainability, and raising the quality of life. Therefore, the platform hosts content like case studies, scientific blogs, images, and so on.
Keeping the purpose of the platform in mind, the website has been designed to broadcast the success stories of farmers who have benefitted from cultivating genetically engineered crops, and scientific articles and blogs explaining their benefits.
The user interface was created using a custom palette derived from the logo, where a soothing shade was chosen as the primary tone and a burst of a brighter shade for the call to action buttons. The user journey is intuitive, making it easily navigable for users of varying technical literacy. The backend has been developed using Laravel, making the website fast loading and secure.
